Tustin Unified’s iPad program is dedicated to redefining learning through engaging opportunities to enhance critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Students in grades TK-4 will have access to classroom iPads and fifth grade students will be assigned an iPad for 24:7 use.

    As technology has advanced, there has been a shift in worldwide computer usage. Computer skills in today’s workplace are in high demand. As a school, our objective is to prepare students for the real world and meet the demands of the 21st century. Technology use for students has implications for workforce development, immigration policy, and national security concerns.

    Modern-day education is not solely focused on learning concepts or facts about the curriculum. It is about learning, understanding, and building connections. Technology allows students to gain insight and learn the importance and the value of communication.

    Technology in classrooms enables the use of more interactive educational tools. It enables different types of communication such as presentations, classroom interaction, etc. Not only does technology help teachers create new lessons, but it creates a dynamic learning experience that directly benefits students.
